Ajax MotionProtect Outdoor wireless outdoor motion detector in white with IP54 protection detects perimeter intrusions and triggers alarms for yard and outdoor zone monitoring. The device uses two PIR sensors and the Jeweller radio protocol to connect to Hub, Hub Plus and ReX, provides anti-tamper and anti-masking functions, and is rated to operate in a wide temperature range. It comes with pre-installed batteries and can run up to 5 years without replacement; external DC 12 V power is also supported.

Install the MotionProtect Outdoor on SmartBracket at a height of 0.8–1.3 m using the supplied kit. Connect the detector to a compatible Ajax hub with a single click in the mobile application; no disassembly is required thanks to pre-installed batteries. Adjust detection distance and sensitivity in the app to suit the monitored area. Optionally connect external DC 12 V power when continuous mains supply is preferred.

Usage recommendations

Place the detector where the expected intrusion path crosses the detection zone at a right angle, avoid aiming directly at moving vegetation or reflective surfaces, and test the detector via the hub app after installation. Regularly check mounting and lens condition to ensure anti-masking and tamper functions operate correctly.
