Ajax Tag Black is a contactless RFID key fob operating at 13.56 MHz with DESFire® technology. Measuring 32×6×45 mm and supplied as a pack of 100, this black tag is designed for user identification, access control and arming/disarming of security systems. It is compatible with Ajax keypad devices that support the Jeweller protocol such as KeyPad Plus, KeyPad S Plus and KeyPad TouchScreen, and can be enrolled to multiple hubs for flexible use across locations.

Advantages

The Tag uses DESFire® (ISO 14443) contactless technology, providing 128-bit encryption and copy-protection for secure identification. It enables quick access to the security system without entering a passcode or accessing the Ajax app: simply present the tag to a compatible keypad reader to change the security mode. A single Tag can be connected to up to 13 hubs, allowing one credential to work for home and office. In the Ajax apps, administrators and PRO users can name tags, assign and revoke access permissions remotely, and track every action in the event log.

How to use

To use the Tag, enroll it in an Ajax system via the Ajax app: open device settings in the app and present the key fob to the compatible keypad reader for pairing. Once added, present the Tag to a compatible keypad to change the security mode — no PIN or app access is required for local operation. In the app, assign a name and set access permissions for each Tag; an admin or PRO user can revoke or modify permissions remotely at any time.

Usage recommendations

Store tags away from strong magnetic fields and prolonged exposure to moisture. Use DESFire®-enabled readers and compatible Ajax keypads for full functionality. For multi-location use, enroll the Tag to each hub where access is required and manage permissions centrally through the Ajax app.
