Wireless Heat Sensor Ajax 63214 — white, wireless heat detector for alarm systems
The Wireless Heat Sensor Ajax 63214 is a compact white heat detector designed for monitored alarm systems. It detects rapid temperature increases and reports alarms to compatible Ajax hubs via the manufacturer's wireless protocol. The sensor is intended for locations where smoke detectors are impractical or where detection of fast temperature rise is required. The package includes a SmartBracket mounting panel, an installation kit and a quick start guide.
The sensor offers wireless connectivity for easy integration into Ajax alarm systems and a compact design that fits unobtrusively on walls or ceilings. It provides fast detection of sudden temperature rises and comes with mounting accessories for straightforward installation. The device is powered by two non-replaceable lithium batteries and is finished in white to blend with most interiors.
This heat detector does not replace smoke detection in all scenarios; it detects rapid temperature increases rather than smoke particles, so early smoke detection of smouldering fires may be limited. It is powered by non-replaceable batteries, which means the entire unit must be replaced when batteries are depleted.
Mount the sensor using the included SmartBracket and installation kit following the quick start guide. Pair the device with a compatible Ajax hub according to the hub’s device enrollment procedure. Position the sensor on a wall or ceiling in the protected area, avoiding direct exposure to heating elements or drafts that could affect temperature readings. Periodically check the hub for battery status notifications and test the detector through the security system to confirm proper operation.
Install the sensor where rapid temperature rises are most likely to occur, keep it free from obstructions, and test it regularly via your Ajax hub. Replace the unit when battery end-of-life is indicated by the system.
