Cable gender changer Akyga AK-AD-60
The Akyga AK-AD-60 cable gender changer provides a compact and practical solution for connecting devices that use different mains connector types. It features a CEE 7/14 (European) male connector on one end and an IEC C7 female connector on the other, enabling straightforward connection between a European wall outlet and equipment or power cords that accept an IEC C7 plug. The adapter is white, lightweight and designed for easy storage and portability. It is also compatible as a replacement duckhead plug for certain Apple power supplies, including units that support MagSafe, MagSafe 2 and USB-C power delivery, for use with European electrical outlets.
The AK-AD-60 combines a small footprint with durable construction to deliver reliable, low-profile connections where space is limited. Its white finish matches many power supplies and consumer electronics, while the lightweight design (approximately 0.0272 kg) makes it suitable for travel and mobile use. The adapter eliminates the need for dedicated long extension cables by enabling direct mating between a CEE 7/14 mains connector and an IEC C7 input.
To use the adapter, align the IEC C7 socket on the AK-AD-60 with the corresponding figure-8 plug of your device or power cord and insert gently until seated. Plug the CEE 7/14 end into a compatible European wall outlet. When used as a replacement duckhead for supported Apple power supplies, detach the original head from the power brick (if applicable) and attach the AK-AD-60 in its place according to the power supply manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure the connection is secure and that the adapter and cables are not under strain during use.
Use the adapter only with devices and power supplies that accept an IEC C7 connection and are intended for use with European mains voltage. Do not force connectors or use the adapter with damaged plugs or outlets. For safety, disconnect power before replacing or swapping duckhead components on power supplies, and follow the device manufacturer’s guidance regarding compatible accessories.
