Battery Tester Ancel BA101 8-30V DC
Ancel BA101 battery tester is a compact diagnostic tool for testing batteries and vehicle electrical systems within an 8–30V DC range. The device supports several measurement standards and three main test modes — battery test, starting test and charging test — allowing assessment of battery state of charge, starting capability and alternator/charging system performance. The BA101 is lightweight (about 200 g) and designed for use with cars, motorcycles and other vehicles; it includes a USB connection for data printout and archiving.
The Ancel BA101 provides three focused diagnostic modes that give a clear picture of battery health, starting performance and charging system status without complicated setup. Its compact ergonomic design and intuitive interface enable quick measurements in workshops and roadside situations. Built-in support for multiple measurement standards improves compatibility with a wide range of lead-acid batteries, and the USB data output makes it possible to save or print test results for documentation and follow-up.
The BA101 is designed for 8–30V DC systems; it is not suitable for testing higher-voltage systems or very small single-cell batteries outside that range. It also does not replace full electronic control unit (ECU) diagnostics or advanced oscilloscope-based testing when in-depth waveform analysis or component-level troubleshooting is required.
Connect the tester clamps to the battery terminals (red to positive, black to negative) and power the device. Select the required test mode—Battery Test, Starting Test or Charge Test—using the device interface. Follow on-screen prompts to complete measurements. For a printout or to save data, connect the BA101 to a computer via the supplied USB cable, install the required driver and use the printing software to export or print results. Ensure vehicle electrical loads are as specified by the test procedure when running starting or charging tests.
Always inspect battery terminals and clean corrosion before testing. For accurate starting tests, perform tests with the battery at normal operating temperature and with starter attempts that match normal vehicle conditions. Use the USB printout function to keep records of periodic tests and to compare battery performance over time.
