Charger Ansmann ALCT6-24/10 6/12/24 V Black
The Ansmann ALCT 6-24/10 is a fully automatic charger for maintenance-free lead acid and lead gel batteries with selectable output voltages of 6 V, 12 V or 24 V. The device automatically detects the battery voltage after connecting the pole terminals and indicates the detected voltage on the display. If a battery is deeply discharged the charger switches to REFRESH mode and uses pulse charging to recover the battery until normal charging can begin. The charger supports a default 1 A charge current and user-selectable currents of 1 A, 5 A or 10 A to match small motorcycle batteries as well as larger car batteries.
The Ansmann ALCT 6-24/10 provides automatic voltage detection, an LED display showing charge state (35–70–100%) and fault indication, and an automatic switch to trickle charge when the battery is full to prevent overcharging. Optional COLD TEMPERATURE mode improves charge completion below 5°C. Built-in protections include short-circuit and reverse polarity protection. Continuous connection is supported for float charging and for maintaining battery capacity even under load, and the charger features an automatic starting aid that delivers maximum available current during engine start attempts.
Connect the charger to the mains supply and attach the pole terminals to the battery following polarity markings. The charger will automatically detect battery voltage and begin charging according to the selected current or the default 1 A if no selection is made. If the battery is deeply discharged the unit will enter REFRESH mode and use pulse charging until a sufficient voltage is reached, then continue with normal charging. When the battery is fully charged the charger switches to trickle/float mode to maintain the battery. If an engine start is attempted while the charger is connected, the automatic starting aid provides the highest available current to assist starting.
Use the charger in a dry, well-ventilated area and observe correct polarity when connecting. For long-term battery maintenance leave the device connected in float mode; if temperatures are below 5°C enable the COLD TEMPERATURE mode if available. Do not attempt to charge batteries other than maintenance-free lead acid or lead gel types and stop charging if the FAULT LED is lit.
