Battery Charger Ansmann Powerline 4.2 Pro
The Ansmann Powerline 4.2 Pro is a versatile charger and test station for household rechargeable batteries and USB-powered devices. It supports up to four AA or AAA NiMH cells, offers several charge programs, an illuminated LCD for monitoring voltage, current, capacity and time, and includes an additional USB output for charging smartphones or MP3 players. The unit accepts 100–240 V input for worldwide use and is finished in black.
The Powerline 4.2 Pro provides independent, slot-by-slot charging and monitoring so mixed sizes and capacities can be charged together. Multiple charging programs (charge, discharge, refresh, capacity test) allow regeneration of weak cells and identification of defective batteries. A clear illuminated LCD displays per-slot voltage (V), current (mA), capacity (mAh) and elapsed time (hh:mm). Manual selection of charge current enables fast charging up to 1800 mA, while microprocessor control and overload protection ensure automatic switch-off and safe charging.
Insert AA or AAA NiMH batteries into the charge slots, observing polarity. Use the slot buttons to select the desired program for each battery (charge, discharge, refresh, capacity test) and, if needed, choose the charge current before starting. The LCD will show the selected program and live measurements for that slot. For charging USB devices, connect the device to the USB output and monitor the charging progress on the device. The charger will automatically stop charging when the selected program completes or when safety limits are reached.
Use only NiMH rechargeable AA or AAA batteries with this charger. To extend battery life, periodically use the refresh function for batteries that show reduced capacity. Do not leave defective or heavily damaged batteries in the charger; remove any cells reported by the display as non-chargeable. Ensure the charger is connected to an appropriate mains supply (100–240 V) and is used in a dry, ventilated environment.
