The ANSMANN T400FR is a rechargeable professional torch with optical focussing, designed for demanding users such as police, security services, fire-fighters, rescue teams and outdoor enthusiasts. It delivers up to 400 lumen from a 5W LED and combines a robust, hard-anodised aluminium housing with IPX4 splash protection. The lamp is powered by a 3.6V 2600mAh lithium rechargeable battery and can be charged in the torch via a micro-USB port; a charging cable is included.

Advantages

The torch offers four tactical lighting modes (full power, 30% power, strobe and SOS) selectable via the end-cap switch, which extend battery life and provide emergency signalling options. Its Quick-Zoom optical system allows effortless adjustment between a focused beam and a wide-angle flood without beam artifacts. The stepped grip and large rubberised on/off switch ensure safe handling with gloves or in wet conditions, while the high-strength aluminium body resists scratches, abrasion and corrosion.

How to use

Turn the torch on and off using the large rubberised switch; use the end-cap switch to select between full power and 30% brightness. Press and hold the end-cap switch to activate the strobe function or the SOS mode for emergency signalling. Adjust the beam between spot and flood by turning the lamp head until the desired focus is achieved. Charge the built-in battery via the micro-USB socket on the torch using the supplied cable; replace the battery pack if required following the manufacturer’s instructions.

Usage recommendations

For reliable operation, regularly charge the lithium battery and avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain despite IPX4 splash protection. Use lower brightness mode to extend runtime during long operations and the focused beam for distant illumination or the wide beam for area lighting.
