AnyCubic PETG Filament Black 1 kg — 3D printing filament, PETG material, 1 kg spool
AnyCubic PETG Filament Black 1 kg is a PETG spool designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers. It combines easy printing characteristics similar to PLA with mechanical strength and impact resistance closer to ABS, making it suitable for durable parts, housings and prototypes. The filament resists water, weather and many chemicals, and is supplied on a reusable spool with an identification chip for compatibility with AnyCubic ACE Pro.
PETG offers good layer adhesion and reduced warping compared with some engineering plastics while providing high impact resistance (45 kJ/m² in the X–Y axis). The material maintains gloss and structural integrity over time, resists a range of household chemicals and can withstand elevated temperatures up to its softening point. The spool’s threaded connection reduces tangles and the identification chip enables automatic recognition of print settings on supported printers.
PETG is not as rigid as some engineering plastics and may not be ideal for parts that require very high heat resistance beyond its softening point (around 72°C). It can absorb moisture from the air, so prints may show defects if the filament is printed without proper drying and storage.
Dry the filament before printing at 55–65°C for 8–10 hours if it has been exposed to humid conditions. Load the spool onto a compatible FDM/FFF printer, set the nozzle temperature to 230–250°C and the build plate to 60–70°C, and use a nozzle diameter of 0.2 mm or larger. Adjust print speed within the 50–250 mm/s range and configure cooling and retraction settings according to your printer and model to minimise stringing and ensure good layer adhesion.
For best results, store the spool in a dry container or desiccant box when not in use and pre-dry before printing. Start with middle-range nozzle temperatures and moderate speeds, then fine-tune cooling and retraction to reduce stringing while preserving layer adhesion.
