AnyCubic PETG-CF Filament 1 kg, Black
AnyCubic PETG-CF is a high-performance 3D printing filament reinforced with carbon fiber, designed for users who require superior mechanical properties and structural integrity. This 1 kg spool of black filament combines the ease of printing associated with PETG with the enhanced rigidity and durability provided by carbon fiber reinforcement. It is an excellent choice for creating functional prototypes, mechanical components, and industrial parts that must withstand significant stress.
The primary benefit of this material is its exceptional structural stiffness and impact resistance, which far exceed those of standard PETG filaments. The carbon fiber infusion results in a sophisticated, matte finish that effectively hides layer lines, providing a professional aesthetic without the need for extensive post-processing. Furthermore, the material exhibits low shrinkage and high dimensional stability, ensuring that complex parts maintain their intended shape during and after the printing process. Its resistance to moisture and environmental factors makes it suitable for long-term applications where durability is paramount.
This filament may not be suitable for applications requiring high flexibility, as the carbon fiber reinforcement makes the material significantly more rigid and prone to snapping under extreme bending compared to standard PETG. Additionally, it is not recommended for use with standard brass nozzles, as the abrasive nature of carbon fiber can cause rapid wear, necessitating the use of hardened steel nozzles.
To achieve the best results, ensure your 3D printer is equipped with a hardened steel nozzle to prevent abrasion. Load the filament into your printer and calibrate your temperature settings within the recommended range of 240–270°C. Because the material is sensitive to moisture, it is advisable to keep the spool in a dry environment or a filament dryer when not in use to maintain optimal print quality and prevent extrusion issues.
For optimal performance, always perform a test print to fine-tune your retraction and temperature settings, as carbon fiber filaments can behave differently than standard materials.
