Rack/Tower UPS APC Smart-UPS Ultra On-Line Lithium-ion XBP 180 V 2U — 432×86 mm, 32.4 kg
APC Smart-UPS Ultra On-Line Lithium-ion XBP is an external 2U rack/tower battery pack with 180 V nominal voltage, designed to extend the runtime of compatible Smart-UPS systems in mission-critical installations. The unit uses lithium-ion cells, includes embedded battery management at the cell, module and cabinet level, and is intended for prolonged power outages where additional runtime is required. The product has a five-year warranty and fits standard 2U racks with a width of 432 mm and height of 86 mm; its depth is 724 mm and weight is 32.4 kg.
The lithium-ion chemistry provides higher energy density and a longer useful life compared with many lead-acid alternatives, while the embedded battery management system (BMS) monitors state of charge and battery health at multiple levels to support reliable operation. The 2U form factor is compatible with standard rack installations and can also be used in tower orientation, and the unit is RoHS compliant.
Install the battery pack into a compatible Smart-UPS cabinet or a standard 2U rack bay, or place it in tower orientation according to the UPS manufacturer’s installation instructions. Connect the unit to the compatible Smart-UPS system following the supplied cabling and safety guidelines, and verify that the UPS recognizes the external battery pack. Regularly monitor the UPS or management interface to view battery state of charge and health information provided by the embedded BMS.
Place the battery pack in a temperature-controlled environment within the UPS manufacturer’s recommended operating range, avoid exposure to excessive humidity or dust, and follow routine maintenance and monitoring procedures to ensure expected runtime and battery lifespan.
