The Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter lets you transfer photos and videos from high-resolution digital cameras to your iPad Pro. When connected, the iPad Pro opens the Photos app to select and import media, then organises imported items into albums. Connecting a USB power adapter to the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter allows the iPad Pro to power attached USB accessories and expand functionality.

Advantages

This adapter supports standard photo formats such as JPEG and RAW, as well as SD and HD video formats including H.264 and MPEG-4. It enables direct import of media into the Photos app and, when used with a USB power adapter, supports a range of USB peripherals including hubs, Ethernet adapters, audio/MIDI interfaces and card readers for CompactFlash, SD and microSD. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro can transfer data at USB 3 speeds while the 9.7-inch iPad Pro uses USB 2 speeds.
