How to use

Assemble the four-rod frame and attach the Bowens-compatible speedring to the light source. Mount the softbox onto the fixture by securing the speedring to the Bowens mount. Install the internal baffle and choose the front diffusion panel that provides the desired softness (1.5 stop for more output, 2.5 stop for greater diffusion). Attach the 45° grid when you need to narrow the beam and control spill. Position the softbox relative to the subject to shape shadows and reflections; moving it closer increases softness and wrap, while moving it farther reduces apparent size and increases contrast.

Usage recommendations

Use the 1.5-stop diffusion when more output is required or when combining with additional modifiers; use the 2.5-stop panel for maximum softness and reduced contrast. Add the grid to control spill on backgrounds or to create more directional light on facial features and product highlights. For portrait work, place the softbox slightly above eye level and angled down to produce natural catchlights; for product photography, align the long edge to create linear reflections along glossy surfaces.
