Arkolat descaler concentrate 0.5 L is formulated for routine and intensive descaling of household appliances including coffee machines, electric kettles, washing machines and dishwashers. The concentrated liquid contains orthophosphoric acid and citric acid in a 5–15% range and is intended for dilution before use. Follow appliance manufacturer instructions and safety directions; the product is hazardous and can cause severe skin burns and eye damage.

How to use

For coffee machines dilute the concentrate with water at a ratio of 1:10, pour the solution into the water tank and run a descaling cycle by brewing half the solution, allow the appliance to stand for about 10 minutes, then brew the remainder. Repeat the procedure if heavy deposits persist and rinse the system by running 2–3 cycles with clean water. For electric kettles dilute 1:10 (use 1:5 for very heavy scale), bring the solution to a boil and keep it for 10–15 minutes, then discard and rinse the kettle thoroughly. For washing machines pour 500 ml of undiluted or appropriately prepared solution into the drum or detergent compartment and run a 90°C programme to descaler internal components. For dishwashers follow manufacturer guidance for descaling cycles and ensure thorough rinsing after treatment.

Usage recommendations

Always wear appropriate protective gloves and eye protection when handling the concentrate. Keep the product out of reach of children. In case of skin contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if irritation persists. In case of eye contact, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, and continue rinsing; seek medical attention if symptoms do not resolve. Do not mix with other chemicals, especially alkaline cleaners.
