Modelling tool set Army Painter TL5036P — stainless steel, 4-piece set
The Army Painter Modelling tool set TL5036P is a compact, 4-piece stainless steel kit made in Denmark and supplied in blister packaging. Designed for miniature modelling and general hobby work, this set provides durable metal tools for cutting, trimming and detailed shaping of small parts and putty. Three sculpting tools offer a total of six different tips, giving versatility for a range of sculpting techniques and fine-detail work when used with modelling putties such as Green Stuff.
The tools are manufactured from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long life, with precision-shaped tips suitable for detailed work. The compact, lightweight set is easy to handle during extended hobby sessions and is supplied in blister packaging for convenient storage and visibility. Multiple tip shapes on the sculpting tools reduce the need to switch instruments and enable efficient transitions between carving, smoothing and defining small features.
Select the appropriate tip for the task: use pointed or hooked tips for carving and removing excess material, flat or rounded tips for smoothing and blending putty, and angled tips for defining edges and panel lines. Work on a stable surface with good lighting; hold the tool like a pencil for fine control and apply light, controlled pressure to avoid gouging. Clean tools after use to remove putty or resin residue and store them in the blister pack to protect tips and maintain sharpness.
When working with modelling putties such as Green Stuff, warm and knead the putty to the desired consistency before shaping. Use the multiple tips to alternate quickly between carving and smoothing, and rinse tools with warm water or wipe with isopropyl alcohol to remove stubborn residues. For cutting plastic or resin, combine these tools with a sharp hobby knife and follow safety precautions such as eye protection and a cutting mat.
