Drill Bit Art-Pol AR48156 SDS+ for Concrete, 6 mm
Drill Bit Art-Pol AR48156 SDS+ for Concrete, 6 mm
Art-Pol AR48156 SDS+ for Concrete, 6 mm is a 6 mm diameter SDS+ masonry drill bit designed for clean, accurate holes in concrete and other solid masonry materials. It is made for use with SDS+ rotary hammers and provides a reliable connection to the tool shank for efficient percussive drilling. The bit is suitable for creating holes for anchors, dowels, electrical boxes and plumbing fixtures and is intended for both professional tradespeople and home DIY projects.
The SDS+ shank allows quick and secure bit changes without additional adapters. The 6 mm diameter provides a balance between fast drilling and precise hole size for many common fixings. The tip geometry and flute design are optimized for debris removal and reduced clogging when drilling into concrete, improving drilling speed and maintaining hole accuracy. Durable material and manufacturing tolerances ensure consistent performance across multiple uses.
Install the drill bit into an SDS+ compatible rotary hammer until it locks in place. Select the rotary hammer's hammer-drill mode and set an appropriate rotation speed and impact setting for concrete. Align the bit at the desired drilling point and apply steady, even pressure; allow the tool's percussion action to do the work rather than forcing the bit. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust from the hole and maintain drilling efficiency. After drilling, remove dust from the hole using a brush or compressed air before inserting anchors or fixings.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask when drilling concrete. For deeper holes or reinforced concrete, use incremental drilling and check bit condition regularly; replace the bit if cutting performance declines or if the tip shows significant wear.
