Drill Bit Art-Pol AR48164 SDS+ 14 mm for Concrete
Drill Bit Art-Pol AR48164 SDS+ 14 mm for Concrete
Art-Pol AR48164 SDS+ 14 mm for Concrete is a 14 mm diameter SDS+ masonry drill bit designed specifically for drilling into concrete and other solid masonry materials. The bit is compatible with SDS+ rotary hammer drills and features a straight, reliable shank interface for quick insertion and secure seating in the chuck. It is intended for use in construction and renovation tasks where accurate, repeatable anchor and fixing holes are required.
The 14 mm diameter provides a suitable balance between hole size and drilling speed for anchor installations and through-fixings. The SDS+ connection ensures fast bit changes and stable engagement in compatible rotary hammers, reducing wobble during operation. The manufacturing and tip geometry are optimized for concrete drilling to maintain straight drilling lines and consistent performance under impact loads.
Install the bit into an SDS+ rotary hammer by pushing it into the chuck until it locks. Select the hammer-drill mode appropriate for concrete drilling and set the drill to the correct speed or impact setting according to the drill manufacturer’s guidance. Position the bit perpendicular to the work surface, start drilling with light pressure to establish the hole, then apply steady force while allowing the hammer action to do the cutting. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear debris and prevent overheating in deep holes.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask when drilling concrete. For best results, mark hole positions, use pilot holes or center punches if needed, and select anchors or plugs sized for 14 mm holes. Avoid excessive lateral pressure and allow the drill to cool during continuous use to prolong bit life.
