Hole saw set Artu 33–73 mm with tungsten carbide grit, model 26426
Hole saw set Artu 33–73 mm with tungsten carbide grit, model 26426
Artu hole saw set 33–73 mm with tungsten carbide grit, model 26426, provides a range of diameters for drilling clean circular openings in hard and abrasive materials. The set is designed for use with standard arbors on drill motors and is intended for installation and renovation tasks that require precise holes in tile, ceramic, natural stone and similar surfaces. The tungsten carbide grit on the cutting edge increases wear resistance and helps maintain cutting performance on abrasive substrates.
The tungsten carbide grit cutting edge offers improved durability compared with ordinary bi‑metal or high‑speed steel teeth, reducing frequent replacements when working on hard materials. A range of sizes from 33 to 73 mm in one set gives flexibility to cover common hole diameters for plumbing, electrical boxes, pipe penetrations and fixtures. The saws are compatible with standard drill motor arbors, enabling quick attachment and use with common power drills.
Secure the appropriate diameter hole saw to a compatible arbor and tighten according to the arbor manufacturer’s instructions. Mark the center point on the work surface and, where possible, apply masking tape to reduce slipping. Start drilling at low speed to establish the pilot position, then increase speed moderately while applying steady, even pressure. Keep the drill as perpendicular to the surface as possible and allow the carbide grit to abrade the material rather than forcing the saw. For wet cutting or to extend tool life, use periodic cooling with water where the workpiece and environment allow. After cutting, remove debris and inspect the hole for any chipping.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves and dust mask) and follow the drill and arbor manufacturer’s safety instructions. For brittle or glazed tiles, start with a pilot hole or use lower speed and minimal pressure to reduce chipping. Consider wetting the cut area to control dust and reduce heat when working for extended periods on hard stone or tile.
