Tabletop wireless router ASUS RT-AX52 AX1800 Dual-band Wi‑Fi 6 (2.4/5 GHz) Gigabit Ethernet, Black
ASUS RT-AX52 AX1800 is a tabletop dual-band Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) router that delivers combined wireless throughput up to AX1800 class speeds. It supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, provides Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and an RJ‑45 WAN connection, and includes WPA3 security, VPN options, AiMesh compatibility and status LEDs for LAN, WAN, Power and WPS.
The RT-AX52 uses WiFi 6 technologies such as OFDMA and MU‑MIMO to increase network capacity and efficiency, while 1024-QAM modulation improves peak wireless throughput. BSS Coloring reduces waiting times in congested radio environments when supported by client devices. Built-in WPA3 offers stronger cryptographic protections and improved authentication, and Instant Guard VPN makes secure browsing on public WiFi simple with one-click setup.
This tabletop router is intended for home and small‑office use and may not meet requirements for very large homes, buildings or demanding enterprise environments that need advanced routing features, multi-gig wired backhaul or professional-grade WiFi planning. Maximum wireless performance also depends on client device capabilities; features like BSS Coloring require compatible client hardware to take full effect.
Place the router centrally in your coverage area on a flat surface, connect the WAN port to your modem using an Ethernet cable and power it on. Use the ASUS Router mobile app or the web interface to complete initial setup: create an administrator password, configure SSIDs and Wi‑Fi passwords for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, enable WPA3 if supported by your devices, and set up VPN options if needed. To extend coverage later, add other AiMesh-compatible routers and follow the app-guided process to form a single mesh network.
For best results place the RT-AX52 in an elevated central location, keep firmware updated via the ASUS Router app, and enable WPA3 and VPN features where supported. When many devices are present, use the 5 GHz band for high-throughput clients and add AiMesh nodes to improve coverage across larger areas.
