Rackmount server Asus RS521A-E12-RS12U 2U, AMD EPYC 9005, 24x DDR5 slots, 2 TB max, 12x 3.5" bays, 2000 W PSU, 80 PLUS Titanium
Asus RS521A-E12-RS12U is a 2U rackmount server with a built-in AMD EPYC 9005-class processor (Socket SP5). The system supports up to 24 DDR5 DIMMs for a maximum of 2 TB memory, offers 12 hot-swap 3.5" drive bays and two M.2 slots, and includes five PCIe x16 expansion slots. The server provides dual 2000 W redundant power supplies with 80 PLUS Titanium efficiency and dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces driven by Intel I350-AM2.
The server combines high memory capacity with dense storage options and multiple expansion slots, enabling large-scale virtualization and storage-focused deployments. Redundant 2000 W power supplies with 80 PLUS Titanium certification ensure efficient, reliable power delivery. Integrated management features such as front-panel LEDs and standard I/O including USB 3.2 Gen1 and VGA simplify installation and maintenance.
Install the server into a 19" rack using the 2U form factor rails or shelf according to rack manufacturer instructions. Populate memory modules across the 24 DIMM slots following the motherboard memory population guidelines to achieve balanced channel performance. Install storage drives into the 3.5" hot-swap bays or M.2 slots as required, and connect network and power cables to redundant power inputs and RJ-45 LAN ports. Configure firmware/BIOS settings and operating system drivers for AMD EPYC and Intel I350-AM2 LAN controller before deploying workloads.
For reliable operation, maintain ambient temperature within the specified 10–35 °C range, use redundant power circuits for the dual PSUs, and follow server maintenance procedures including firmware updates and regular backups. Do not disassemble the unit yourself.
