HDMI repeater ATEN khrep05 — supports 4Kx2K 60Hz
ATEN HDMI repeater khrep05 is a compact inline signal booster that extends HDMI transmission and preserves image quality up to 4Kx2K @ 60Hz (3840x2160/60Hz). It is designed to be connected at the end of an HDMI cable near the display and regenerates a weakened signal to enable reliable connection over longer cable runs. The unit supports HDMI 2.0 features including 3D formats, deep color (8/10/12 bit) and HDCP 1.4 compatibility. In most cases it is powered from the HDMI bus; if required a 5V/1A micro‑USB adapter can be used.
The repeater restores and amplifies degraded HDMI signals to eliminate flicker, dropouts or missing image caused by long cables, and supports TMDS data rates up to 6 Gbps with a TMDS frequency up to 600 MHz. It accepts a wide range of video resolutions (including common PC modes) and provides digital signal processing for more faithful color reproduction. A side IR‑RX output enables external IR receiver connection for remote control functionality.
Connect the repeater inline at the display end of the HDMI cable: plug the cable from the source into the repeater input and connect the repeater output to the display. In most installations the unit will draw power from the HDMI connection automatically. If the display or source does not provide sufficient power, connect a 5V/1A micro‑USB adapter to the repeater. If using IR control, attach an external IR receiver to the side IR‑RX output. Use a quality HDMI cable with copper conductors (recommended minimum 24 AWG) to maximize signal integrity.
For reliable 4K@60Hz transmission over long distances, use high‑quality HDMI cables with copper conductors (24 AWG recommended). If image issues persist after installing the repeater, verify cable type and length, ensure the repeater receives power (attach micro‑USB adapter if necessary), and confirm source/display HDCP and HDMI version compatibility.
