Video conferencing camera AVerMedia UHD4K12X — 4K 3840×2160 30fps, 8.51MP, 12x optical zoom, 70.9° FOV, CMOS, black
AVerMedia UHD4K12X is a 4K Ultra HD video conferencing PTZ camera that delivers up to 3840×2160 at 30 fps from an approx. 8.51 MP CMOS sensor. The compact black housing integrates 12x optical zoom and 15x digital zoom with a 70.9° field of view to capture wide room scenes and detailed close-ups. The camera supports multiple simultaneous outputs and network streaming protocols, PoE power delivery, and smooth pan/tilt/zoom movement for meeting rooms, lecture capture, telepresence and live production.
The UHD4K12X provides native 4K resolution for clear, high‑detail video combined with a high‑quality CMOS sensor and advanced 2D/3D noise reduction to maintain high SNR and low noise in standard lighting. A motorized PTZ mechanism offers accurate, quiet motion across wide horizontal and vertical ranges and supports up to 255 preset positions for fast scene recall. Onboard H.264/H.265 encoding and multiple video outputs (HDMI, 3G‑SDI, USB3.0 and IP) allow flexible integration with streaming platforms and conferencing systems. PoE support simplifies installation by delivering power and network connectivity over a single cable.
Mount the camera on a wall, ceiling, tripod or desktop and connect power and data via PoE or use the dedicated power and interface cables for HDMI, 3G‑SDI or USB3.0 outputs. Use the network interface for IP streaming and configure H.264 or H.265 encoding settings in the web or control interface. Position the camera using the remote control, keyboard controller or network commands to set pan, tilt and zoom; save preferred views to preset positions for quick recall. Enable AI auto tracking or zone tracking as required to keep presenters within the frame, and rely on auto focus to maintain image sharpness during movement or zoom changes.
For best results in conferencing and streaming, install the camera at or above eye level, ensure adequate scene lighting to leverage the 4K sensor, and use PoE for simplified cabling. When streaming over limited bandwidth, select H.265 encoding to reduce bitrate while preserving motion clarity. Use presets to switch quickly between common views and enable AI tracking only when a single presenter is moving to avoid unintended camera motion.
