AVERY 74769 Ultra Tabs Blank Index Tabs are durable polyester and paper-coated adhesive tabs designed for organizing, indexing, and highlighting documents, planners, notebooks, and books. Measuring 63.5 x 25 mm, these narrow body tabs fit neatly within page margins without obscuring text or graphics underneath.
Advantages
The tabs feature a sturdy construction that resists folding, tearing, or falling off, allowing you to turn pages securely. The repositionable adhesive ensures strong attachment while remaining easy to remove and adjust for multiple uses. Both sides of the tab are compatible with most pens, pencils, markers, and highlighters, providing a writable surface that yields smudge-free notes.
Suitable for
- Marking pages in books, notebooks, and printed documents
- Organizing planners, calendars, and schedules in office and home environments
- Highlighting passages in textbooks and study materials
- Indexing recipes in cookbooks and sections in manuals
When it may not be suitable
These tabs may not be ideal if you require permanent, non-removable document marking, as they are designed to be repositionable. Additionally, ink dry times can vary depending on the writing instrument used, and the adhesive may lift certain sensitive inks.

For best results, test the adhesive and ink compatibility on a test page before applying the tabs to important documents, and avoid using them on delicate or highly sensitive paper surfaces.
