The FRITZ!Box 7690 is a tabletop router with dual-band Wi‑Fi (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) and the Wi‑Fi 7 (802.11be) standard, designed for high-speed internet on DSL and fiber connections. It supports Supervectoring for DSL up to 300 Mbit/s and includes a 2.5 Gigabit WAN for connection to a fiber optic modem. The device integrates a DECT base station, Zigbee for smart home devices, a USB port for FRITZ!NAS and media server functionality, and a complete telephony system with multiple answering machine and contact sync options.

Advantages

The router delivers multi-gigabit wireless speeds with Wi‑Fi 7 and improved multi-device performance through Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and punctured mode to reduce interference. Mesh Wi‑Fi support allows seamless roaming together with FRITZ!Repeaters, FRITZ!Powerline and other FRITZ!Box units.
