Power screwdriver / impact driver AWTools AW05600, weight 3 kg
AWTools AW05600 is a power screwdriver / impact driver engineered for fastening and loosening screws, bolts and nuts in mechanical, automotive and construction tasks. The tool combines a die-cast aluminium head shell and a high-impact plastic housing to balance durability with manageable weight. At approximately 3 kg, it is compact enough for general-purpose assembly, maintenance and repair jobs while providing the torque and impact action required for demanding fastening work. The unit includes a 1/2" drive with ball detent and is supplied with CrV impact sockets suited for automotive and workshop use.
The die-cast aluminium head shell improves heat resistance and structural strength, while the high-impact plastic housing reduces overall tool weight and provides protection against everyday wear. A non-slip rubber coated handle ensures a secure grip during operation. The 1/2" drive with ball detent enables quick and reliable socket changes. Variable speed trigger and forward/reverse control deliver precise control when tightening or loosening fasteners. The design includes a heat dissipation window and allows for carbon brush replacement to extend service life.
Before use, inspect the tool, sockets and workpiece for damage, and ensure the correct socket is fitted onto the 1/2" drive with the ball detent engaged. Select the required rotation direction using the forward/reverse button. Apply steady pressure and control speed with the variable speed trigger to avoid over-tightening. For tyre or wheel work, follow vehicle manufacturer torque specifications and use the impact driver to snug bolts before final torque with a calibrated torque wrench if required. Allow the tool to cool during extended use; the heat dissipation window assists cooling but periodic breaks reduce wear.
Use appropriate protective equipment such as eye and hand protection, and work on stable surfaces. Match socket sizes accurately and avoid using damaged sockets. Replace carbon brushes as part of routine maintenance to preserve motor performance. For critical fastenings, verify final torque with a torque wrench after impact tightening.
