Gas torch AWTools AW13811, handheld soldering/brazing torch, weight 190 g
AWTools AW13811 is a handheld gas torch designed for soldering and brazing applications that require a compact, portable heat source. The lightweight construction (190 g) and aluminium, galvanised stainless steel and plastic materials make the torch suitable for on-site work and workshop tasks. The unit connects to standard butane gas cartridges compliant with EN417 and features a bottom refill valve inlet and a twist-type connection for cartridge attachment. A flame adjustment knob and 360° operating angle expand its usability in confined and hard-to-reach places.
The torch combines low weight and compact dimensions with durable materials, enabling easy handling during prolonged use. Adjustable flame control allows precise temperature management for soldering and brazing, while the 360° usable angle and a refill valve inlet support versatile positioning and cartridge replacement. Compatibility with common butane cartridges gives a portable, refillable fuel solution for plumbing, metalwork and DIY repairs.
Attach a compatible butane cartridge to the bottom inlet following the cartridge manufacturer's instructions and confirm the twist connection is secure. Open the fuel flow and ignite the torch according to safety guidelines; use the flame adjustment knob to set the desired flame size for the task. Maintain a steady hand and controlled distance when heating small joints or metal parts. Turn off the fuel and allow the torch to cool fully before disconnecting the cartridge or storing the tool.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, ensure adequate ventilation, and verify cartridge compatibility with EN417 standard before operation. Keep the torch away from flammable materials, and follow local safety and disposal regulations for gas cartridges. For precision work, use lower flame settings and steady, controlled movements.
