Floodlight AWTools AW17908
The AWTools AW17908 Floodlight is a compact, heavy-duty LED floodlight designed for reliable outdoor and indoor illumination. The housing is made from die-cast aluminium with a powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance, and the unit features a transparent tempered glass lens that protects the LED array. The slim design with an adjustable wall bracket allows installation in confined spaces while delivering bright, energy-efficient light. Built with high-powered SMD LED technology, the fixture includes an integrated PIR motion sensor and an adjustable dusk-to-dawn sensor to automate lighting based on movement and ambient light levels.
The floodlight offers focused, high-lumen output with lower power consumption thanks to SMD LED components, and its die-cast aluminium frame provides mechanical durability and weather resistance. The tempered glass lens enhances impact and temperature resilience, while the slim profile and wall bracket make placement flexible. Built-in PIR motion detection and dusk-to-dawn adjustment reduce the need for external control systems and contribute to energy savings. At a weight of 820 g the unit is straightforward to handle during installation.
Mount the floodlight on a stable surface using the supplied wall bracket, positioning it to achieve the desired illumination angle while ensuring the PIR sensor has a clear view of the monitored area. Connect the fixture to the appropriate mains supply in accordance with local electrical regulations and switch off power during installation. Use the adjustable dusk-to-dawn setting to define when the light should operate based on ambient light, and adjust the PIR detection sensitivity and time delay as required for the site.
For reliable performance, install the floodlight at a height and angle that minimises direct exposure to water jets and avoids obstructing the PIR sensor. Periodically clean the tempered glass to maintain light output and check the mounting bracket for corrosion or looseness. Where long-term outdoor operation is required, verify that all cable entries are sealed and that the powder-coated finish remains intact to protect against weathering.
