Bench vice AWTools AW24236 with 360° swivel base, 125 mm jaw width
AWTools AW24236 bench vice is a heavy-duty workshop vise with a 125 mm jaw width and a 360° swivel base. Designed for general metalworking and woodworking tasks, this vice secures workpieces for cutting, filing, drilling and assembly. The swivel base allows precise positioning of the clamped object without removing it from the jaws, while the robust construction provides stable holding force for medium-duty operations.
The 125 mm jaws offer a balance between clamping capacity and compact footprint, suitable for bench-top workshops. A full 360° swivel base provides flexible angle adjustment and repeatable positioning. Hardened jaw faces improve grip and wear resistance, and the solid screw mechanism delivers consistent clamping pressure. The design supports both metal and wood applications, enabling multi-purpose use in a single tool.
Secure the vice to a stable workbench using appropriate bolts through the mounting holes. Open the jaws by turning the handle counterclockwise, place the workpiece between the jaws, then tighten by turning the handle clockwise until the workpiece is held firmly but not over-stressed. To change the clamping angle, loosen the swivel base clamp, rotate the vice to the desired orientation within the full 360° range, and retighten the base clamp. Verify the workpiece is secure before beginning cutting, drilling or filing operations.
Use protective jaw covers when clamping finished surfaces to prevent marring. Regularly clean and lubricate the screw and swivel mechanism to maintain smooth operation and inspect jaw faces for wear; replace or recondition worn jaws to preserve grip. Do not exceed the vice’s intended medium-duty applications and avoid shock loads to prolong service life.
