Tape measure AWTools AW27134 — 19 mm width, 191 g weight
AWTools AW27134 is a compact tape measure designed for general measuring tasks. The tool combines a 19 mm wide white steel tape with nylon coating and a reinforced end hook, all housed in an impact-resistant ABS plastic case coated with TPR. Weighing 191 g, the tape measure is intended for portable, hand-held use on construction sites, in carpentry, for DIY and renovation projects where quick linear measurements and durable performance are required.
The case construction uses impact-resistant ABS with a TPR coating to improve grip and protect the unit from knocks. The white steel tape with metric graduation is nylon coated for abrasion and weather resistance, and the end hook is reinforced with rivets to maintain accuracy under load. A tape rewind locking mechanism and two stop buttons allow controlled extension and secure blocking of the tape at any point. Additional features include a belt clip and a wristband for easy carrying and reduced risk of dropping the tool.
Grip the AWTools AW27134 case and pull the tape out to the required length. Use the end hook to anchor the tape on an edge or object; the reinforced rivet ensures a secure hold. Operate the rewind locking mechanism to control tape extension and apply the stop buttons to block the tape position when taking a measurement. After measuring, release the lock and allow the tape to retract smoothly into the case, keeping fingers clear of the tape edge.
For accurate measurements, ensure the end hook sits flat against the measurement point and avoid bending the tape during use. Store the tape measure in a dry place to prolong the life of the nylon coating, and use the belt clip or wristband to reduce the risk of drops on site.
