Tape measure AWTools AW27137 — 25 mm width, 445 g weight
AWTools AW27137 is a compact tape measure with a 25 mm wide measuring blade and a total weight of 445 g, designed for everyday measuring tasks on construction sites, in workshops and for DIY projects. The housing is made of impact-resistant ABS plastic coated with TPR material for improved grip and shock protection. The white steel tape is nylon-coated with metric graduation and a rivet-reinforced end hook, providing durability and reliable length readings for layout work and on-site measurements.
The tape features a tape rewind locking mechanism and two stop buttons that allow quick and precise blocking of the blade at any position. The nylon coating on the white steel tape increases resistance to abrasion and weather conditions, reducing wear during frequent use. Additional practical details include a belt clip and wristband for hands-free carrying and safe handling during work.
Pull the blade out to the required length and secure it in place using one of the two stop buttons to fix the measurement. For rapid retraction, release the lock and allow the tape rewind mechanism to retract the blade smoothly back into the housing. Use the rivet-reinforced end hook to grab edges or anchor the tape for single-person measuring. Carry the tape on a belt using the clip or keep it close at hand with the wristband while working.
To prolong the life of the tape, avoid letting the blade snap back uncontrolled into the case; retract it steadily. Clean the tape periodically to remove grit that can abrade the nylon coating and metal surface. Store the tape in a dry place when not in use to minimise corrosion risk and maintain accurate metric graduation markings.
