Tape measure AWTools AW27147 — 25 mm width, compact measuring tool
AWTools AW27147 — 25 mm width, compact measuring tool is a 25 mm wide tape measure designed for general measuring tasks in construction, carpentry and DIY. The compact housing combines impact-resistant ABS plastic with a TPR coating for improved grip and durability. The blade is nylon-coated with metric graduation and the reinforced magnetic end hook secured with rivets ensures reliable engagement with metal edges. A belt clip and a lightweight design make the tool easy to carry on site.
The AWTools AW27147 tape measure offers a compact and robust design that balances portability with practical features. Its 25 mm wide blade provides clear metric graduations protected by a nylon coating, while the magnetic end hook reinforced with rivets improves accuracy and longevity when measuring metal profiles. The automatic thumb lock and 1 STOP button allow controlled blade extension and secure measurement capture. The TPR-coated ABS housing enhances impact resistance and hand comfort during frequent use.
Pull the blade out of the housing to the required length and engage the automatic thumb lock to hold the blade in position; for quick stops press the 1 STOP button. Use the magnetic end hook to attach to metal edges for single-person measurement, or hook onto surfaces and profiles for stable measurement points. Retract the blade gently to avoid damage to the nylon coating and the housing; the compact size allows one-handed handling for most measuring tasks.
For best results, keep the blade clean and dry and avoid excessive bending or shock that could deform the tape. When measuring long distances, support the blade at intermediate points to reduce strain on the end hook and rivets. Store the tool in a dry place and use the belt clip or a pouch to protect the housing during transport.
