Masonry trowel AWTools AW27450 – bricklayer hand trowel, general-purpose
The AWTools AW27450 masonry trowel is a general-purpose bricklayer hand trowel designed for spreading, shaping and smoothing mortar in masonry, plastering and repair tasks. The working part is made of high-quality stainless steel for corrosion resistance and consistent performance. An ergonomic cork handle with a plastic finger guard provides a secure, non-slip grip and reduces hand fatigue during repeated use. A metal ferrule and welded shank ensure a durable, permanent connection between the handle and the backing plate, suitable for both amateur and professional work.
The stainless steel blade maintains its flatness and resists rust, enabling precise mortar application and easy cleaning. The cork handle combines comfort and grip, while the plastic finger guard improves control during fine work. The metal ferrule reinforces the joint and the welded shank adds structural strength, giving stable handling during spreading and shaping of plaster, mortar or adhesive. Manufactured in Poland with attention to assembly details, the tool is suitable for frequent use on small- and medium-scale masonry tasks.
Hold the trowel by the cork handle with the thumb resting against the finger guard for control. Scoop mortar or plaster onto the blade and use the flat surface to spread material evenly across the work area. For bricklaying, apply mortar to the bed and butter the brick faces as required; for plastering, use broad strokes to distribute and a firm edge to smooth. Clean the blade after use with water before the material hardens to preserve the stainless steel surface and maintain tool performance.
For best results, use the trowel with appropriate mortar mixes and keep the blade clean and dry between sessions. Store in a dry place to avoid accumulation of residues. Replace the handle or ferrule only with compatible parts to maintain the welded shank’s integrity.
