Masonry trowel AWTools AW27570 — hand trowel for mortar and brickwork
AWTools AW27570 — hand trowel for mortar and brickwork is a masonry trowel designed for applying and smoothing mortar, shaping joints and finishing surfaces in bricklaying and general masonry work. The working part is made of high-quality stainless steel for corrosion resistance and consistent flatness. An ergonomic cork handle with a plastic finger guard ensures a secure, non-slip grip and helps reduce hand fatigue during extended use. An aluminium shank increases rigidity and strength when applying pressure, and the open handle design allows precise control while spreading and convenient hanging on a bucket or tool rack between tasks. Rounded ends on the blade facilitate finishing of curved surfaces, while the tool is suitable for gypsum plasters, mortars and adhesives in both professional and DIY projects. Made in Poland.
The stainless steel blade combines durability with ease of cleaning, maintaining a true edge for accurate spreading. The cork handle provides a comfortable grip with natural vibration damping, and the plastic finger guard adds safety and reduces slippage. The aluminium shank gives the trowel additional strength without excessive weight, improving control when applying firm pressure. The open handle design enables quick hanging and better balance, while the rounded blade ends allow smooth finishing on curved or irregular surfaces.
Hold the trowel by the cork handle with the finger guard positioned between your fingers and the shank for stable control. Use the flat face of the stainless steel blade to pick up and spread mortar or plaster onto the substrate, applying consistent pressure transmitted through the aluminium shank. For joints and edges, use the rounded ends to smooth and shape the material. Keep the blade at an appropriate angle to the surface to control the layer thickness. After use, clean the blade promptly to prevent material buildup and store the trowel by hanging it from the open handle or placing it in a dry tool area.
For best results, use the AWTools AW27570 with properly mixed mortar or plaster according to manufacturer mixing ratios. Clean the blade immediately after each use to preserve the stainless steel surface and maintain blade flatness. When working for extended periods, take regular breaks to reduce hand fatigue; the cork handle improves comfort but does not replace ergonomic work practices. Store the trowel in a dry place to avoid contamination of the handle and to keep the aluminium shank free of corrosive substances.
