Suction lifter AWTools AW29420 — AW29420 manual vacuum glass lifter
AWTools AW29420 — AW29420 manual vacuum glass lifter is a compact suction lifter for handling smooth, non-porous surfaces such as glass, tiles and sheet materials. The device features a sturdy plastic handle and rubber suction cups that create a reliable grip without mechanical clamps. Each suction cup is equipped with an independent locking lever and quick-release mechanism, enabling controlled attachment and detachment for carrying, positioning and installing glazing and panel elements in construction, glazing and renovation tasks.
The AWTools AW29420 combines a lightweight plastic handle with durable rubber suction cups to provide a practical grip on flat surfaces. Independent locking levers allow secure fixation of each cup and fast release when repositioning is required. The manual vacuum design requires no power source, making the lifter portable and suitable for on-site use. Its simple construction reduces maintenance needs and supports repetitive lifting and positioning operations.
Position the suction cups on a clean, dry, and smooth section of the target surface. Push the cups against the surface to expel air and engage each locking lever to create a vacuum seal. Verify that each cup is securely attached before lifting. Use the plastic handle to carry or manoeuvre the panel, keeping movements steady and within the device's practical capacity. To release, operate the quick-release on each suction cup to break the vacuum and remove the lifter from the surface.
Ensure surfaces are free of dust, moisture, oil or debris before use to maintain maximum suction. Avoid using on rough, porous or heavily curved surfaces. For heavy or oversized panels, use additional lifting aids or a multi-cup lifter and follow safe handling practices. Regularly inspect rubber cups for wear or damage and replace them if integrity is compromised.
