Triangle AWTools AW29814 – measuring triangle, metal, weight 190 g
AWTools AW29814 is a metal measuring triangle designed for layout, marking and angle checking in carpentry, construction and DIY projects. Constructed from high-quality aluminium with a riveted handle, this compact triangle weighs 190 g and provides stable handling for on-site measurements and woodworking setup. It features a hang hole for convenient storage and a double-sided millimetre scale for straightforward, precise reading.
The aluminium construction offers a balance of light weight and rigidity, while the riveted handle adds stability during use. Double-sided mm scales allow measuring from either side without repositioning the tool. The ability to set and check both 90° and 45° angles makes the triangle suitable for common squaring and mitre tasks. A hang hole enables compact, space-saving storage in a workshop or on-site.
Place the triangle with one leg against the workpiece edge to establish a true 90° or position it along a reference line for a 45° layout. Read measurements directly from the double-sided millimetre scales without moving the tool, and use the riveted handle to maintain steady pressure while marking. For transfer of angles, align the triangle, mark the intersection points, and use a pencil or scribe along the triangle edge to draw the required line.
Keep the aluminium surface clean and free of debris for accurate readings; avoid heavy impacts that could bend the triangle. Store the tool on a peg or hook using the hang hole to protect the edges and maintain calibration. When working with metal, use appropriate marking tools and eye protection.
