Ruler AWTools AW29831 — metal measuring ruler, weight 210 g
AWTools AW29831 — metal measuring ruler, weight 210 g is a hardened steel ruler with a protective black coating and a double-sided millimetre scale. Designed for precise linear measurements, the ruler can be used flat or set to common work angles of 90° and 45°. Its compact, handheld construction and hang hole make it suitable for general measuring, marking and layout tasks in workshops, on construction sites and in DIY or craft projects.
The stainless-feel hardened steel construction with a black abrasion-resistant coating improves durability and resists dirt, keeping scale markings legible longer. A double-sided millimetre scale provides measurement flexibility and faster readings without flipping the tool. The ability to set the ruler at 90° and 45° supports marking and checking right and common mitre angles for metal and wood processing. The built-in hang hole allows for convenient, space-saving storage between uses.
Place the ruler flat against the workpiece to take linear measurements using the millimetre scale on either side. To mark or check right angles, align the ruler at 90° against an edge; for mitre or common angled marking use the 45° setting. Use the clear scale gradations for accurate marking and scribe lines directly from the ruler. After use, hang the ruler by its storage hole or store it in a toolbox to protect the coated surface.
For best results, keep the ruler clean and free of heavy debris to maintain scale visibility. Avoid exposing the coated surface to strong chemical cleaners; wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary. When measuring precise parts, ensure the ruler sits firmly against the workpiece to prevent parallax error.
