Pipe wrench AWTools AW31207, length 225 mm, weight 525 g
Pipe wrench AWTools AW31207, length 225 mm, weight 525 g
AWTools AW31207 is a compact pipe wrench with a total length of 225 mm and a weight of 525 g, designed for gripping and turning pipes, fittings and other round or flat workpieces. The tool is forged from CrV steel and chrome plated for corrosion resistance. It combines straight serrated long jaws at the front of the head with curved serrated jaws at the end that incorporate a wire cutter, an adjustable screw for jaw setting, a jaw locking system and a release spring to keep the chosen opening stable during use.
The forged CrV steel construction and chrome plating provide a durable working surface and improved resistance to wear and corrosion. Serrated jaws ensure a firm grip on pipes and fittings while the jaw locking mechanism and adjusting screw allow quick adaptation to different diameters. The integrated wire cutter and compact 225 mm length make the wrench suitable for confined spaces and mobile tool kits, and the 525 g weight balances portability with tool stability.
Select an initial jaw opening by turning the adjusting screw until the serrated jaws fit snugly around the pipe or fitting. Position the straight or curved jaws on the workpiece as required, engage the jaw locking system if a fixed opening is needed, and apply steady force to turn or hold the object. Use the straight long jaws for reaching into narrow areas and the curved jaws with the wire cutter for cutting and gripping tasks. Release the locking system or back off the adjustment screw to remove the wrench.
Inspect the jaws before each use for wear or damage and keep the adjusting screw and locking mechanism clean and lightly lubricated. Use the appropriate jaw orientation for the task: straight serrated jaws for extended reach and curved serrated jaws for stronger bite on round components. Do not use the wrench on fasteners intended for hex keys or sockets; avoid excessive force beyond the tool’s intended manual use to prevent deformation. Store the wrench in a dry place to preserve the chrome plating and steel integrity.
