The AWTOOLS AW31860 wrecking/crow bar set includes four pry bars designed for demolition, carpentry and general workshop tasks. Each bar is made of tool steel with a powder coated and varnished finish to resist corrosion. The working ends are forged and hardened to provide high strength and durability, while plastic blade guides protect surfaces during prying operations. The ergonomic two-component handles feature a built-in striking cap so the pry bars can be safely struck with a hammer when extra force is required.
Forged and hardened working parts deliver long service life and reliability under heavy loads. The powder coated and varnished surface helps prevent rust and surface wear, extending the usable life of the bars. Ergonomic two-component handles improve grip comfort and control, and the integrated strike cap allows controlled hammer strikes without damaging the handle. Plastic blade guides reduce marring on contact surfaces and help position the tool for effective leverage.
Select a pry bar of suitable length and profile for the task, position the blade or fork under the edge to be pried, and apply steady leverage. For stubborn fasteners or tightly seated materials, use a hammer to strike the built-in striking cap on the handle to increase force while maintaining control. Use the plastic blade guides to protect adjoining surfaces and reduce damage during insertion and levering. After use, clean off debris and store the bars in a dry place to preserve the surface finish.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and work gloves when prying or striking. Use the built-in strike cap for hammering rather than striking the handle body directly. Inspect tools regularly for deformation or cracks, and replace any bar with damaged working ends to avoid failure during use.
