Hammer AWTools carpentry hammer with plastic handle 600 g AW32101
Carpentry hammer AWTools AW32101 with a 600 g head and a plastic-coated fibreglass handle is designed for general woodworking and carpentry tasks. The head is forged from high-quality hardened carbon steel and polished for durability. The epoxy-bonded head and milled-faced striking surface provide consistent contact and efficient energy transfer. A straight claw, magnetic nail holder and shock-absorbing ergonomic handle support frequent use in both professional and DIY settings.
The forged, hardened carbon-steel head and epoxy bonding increase impact resilience and reduce the risk of head loosening. A milled-faced striking surface improves grip on nail heads to reduce glancing blows. The fibreglass core with a non-slip TPR grip dampens vibration and offers ergonomic control during repetitive striking. The straight claw allows punching and bending of metal sheets as well as reliable nail extraction, while the integrated magnetic nail holder speeds one-handed nailing operations.
Grip the AWTools AW32101 near the end of the handle for maximum striking force or closer to the head for greater control when finishing. Position the nail using the magnetic nail holder for one-handed starts, then strike squarely on the milled-faced surface to drive the nail. Use the straight claw to remove nails by levering against a solid surface; for punching or bending light metal sheets, place the workpiece on a stable backing and apply controlled strikes. Maintain a steady rhythm to reduce user fatigue and ensure accurate results.
Check the hammer head and handle regularly for damage; do not use if the head is loose or cracked. Wear appropriate eye protection during striking and when removing nails or performing sheet-metal work. Use the 600 g hammer for medium-duty tasks; select a lighter or heavier hammer for very fine finishing or heavy framing respectively.
