Hammer AWTools AW32262BL — claw hammer, model AW32262BL
The AWTools AW32262BL claw hammer is a dual-face hand tool designed for general carpentry, light demolition and precise assembly tasks. It combines a traditional ash wood handle with a metal housing that accepts replaceable heads, and is supplied with two moulded striking faces — a soft PU face and a hard nylon face — to accommodate different impact needs while protecting workpiece surfaces. The tool is intended for driving and removing nails, positioning small metal components, and light-forming operations where controlled force and non-marring contact are required.
The ash wood handle provides a comfortable, vibration-damping grip and a varnished finish that resists moisture and wear. The metal housing with screw-on, replaceable heads allows quick replacement of the striking faces without removing the entire head assembly. One-piece moulded faces in PU and nylon ensure consistent shape and resist separation under normal use, while the epoxy bond secures the head to the handle for stable performance. Having both a soft and a hard face included increases the hammer’s versatility for different materials and tasks.
Grip the varnished ash handle near its end for maximum control and leverage when driving nails or positioning parts. Choose the soft PU face for delicate surfaces or when cushioning is needed to avoid marring; use the hard nylon face when firmer impact is required. To replace faces, unscrew the metal housing assembly according to the manufacturer’s instructions, fit the appropriate replacement face onto the housing and secure it before use. Keep the striking faces clean and free of debris to maintain consistent contact with the workpiece.
Inspect the handle and head assembly before each use; do not use the hammer if the epoxy bond is compromised, the handle is cracked, or the faces are excessively worn. Use appropriate eye protection and follow standard safety practices for striking tools. Store the hammer in a dry place to preserve the varnished wooden handle and prevent corrosion of the metal components.
