Hex key set AWTools AW35011 — 9-piece hex key/Allen key set
Hex key set AWTools AW35011 — 9-piece hex key/Allen key set
AWTools AW35011 — 9-piece hex key/Allen key set is designed for tightening and loosening hexagonal socket fasteners in a wide range of applications. The set includes nine hex keys in sizes from 1.5 mm to 10 mm, each manufactured from hardened and tempered CrV steel with a nickel-plated finish. Each key has hex ends on both sides and a long arm for improved torque transmission and reach, and the set is supplied with a plastic clip for compact storage and transport.
The CrV steel construction and heat treatment provide durability and wear resistance while the nickel plating reduces corrosion and improves surface slide. Hex ends on both sides increase flexibility of use and the long-arm design offers greater leverage and access to recessed fasteners. The included plastic clip keeps keys organized and portable so the set is ready for use on-site or in a workshop.
Select the hex key that matches the hex socket size of the fastener, insert the short or long end into the socket depending on required clearance and leverage, and turn clockwise to tighten or counterclockwise to loosen. Use the long arm to increase torque when loosening stubborn fasteners and the short arm for maximum control in confined spaces. Store keys on the plastic clip after use to keep the set organized and protect the tool surfaces.
For safe and effective use, apply steady force and avoid sudden impacts. Do not use hex keys as pry bars or chisels. When higher torque is required, ensure the key fully seats in the socket to reduce the risk of rounding the fastener. Keep the nickel-plated surfaces clean and dry to limit corrosion and store the set on the clip in a dry place.
