Socket set AWTools AW38137, includes sockets, weight 250 g
AWTools AW38137 is a compact socket set designed for general mechanical and maintenance tasks. Manufactured from hardened and tempered chromium-vanadium (CrV) steel with a satin finish, the set is lightweight (250 g) and portable. It includes a selection of external sockets in two drive sizes, an adapter reducer and a metal rail for organized storage. Rounded head profiles help work with worn fasteners while the knurled ring and bearing hole improve grip and secure attachment to the driving tool.
The sockets are made of hardened and tempered CrV steel for enhanced durability and wear resistance. Satin finish reduces glare and offers corrosion resistance during normal use. Rounded head profiles reduce the chance of further damaging screw and bolt heads, and the knurled ring provides additional manual grip. A bearing hole ensures a reliable connection to ratchets or extensions, and the included metal rail keeps components organized and easy to carry.
Select the socket that matches the fastener size, attach it to the ratchet or wrench using the bearing hole to ensure a solid connection, and, if needed, fit the adapter reducer to convert between 1/4" and 3/8" drives. Use the knurled ring for initial hand-tightening or to gain extra grip when positioning a socket on a fastener. Apply steady torque with a compatible socket wrench and avoid using excessive force that could deform fasteners or the tool.
For best results, store sockets on the supplied metal rail after cleaning and light lubrication to prevent corrosion. Use appropriate-sized sockets and the adapter only when necessary; inspect socket heads for wear before use and replace if deformation is present to avoid rounding fasteners.
