Socket 1/2" AWTools AW38614BL Short Hex 24 mm Black Line
Socket 1/2" AWTools AW38614BL Short Hex 24 mm Black Line
AWTools AW38614BL is a 1/2" drive short hex impact socket in 24 mm size from the Black Line series. Engineered for use with impact wrenches and torque tools, the short design offers compact access to hexagonal fasteners in confined or recessed locations. The socket’s impact-rated construction is intended to withstand high-torque applications commonly encountered in automotive repair, mechanical maintenance and industrial assembly.
The short hex design reduces overall tool length while maintaining full contact with 6-point fasteners, improving access where space is limited. Impact-rated material and heat-treated construction provide increased resistance to cracking and deformation under repeated impact loading. A black finish improves corrosion resistance and reduces glare during work. Compatible with standard 1/2" drive impact accessories, the socket integrates with existing impact wrenches, breakers and extensions.
Select the 24 mm short hex socket and attach it securely to a compatible 1/2" drive impact wrench or torque tool. Ensure the socket sits fully on the fastener head before applying torque to avoid rounding. When using an impact wrench, apply controlled bursts rather than continuous full power where possible to prevent over-torquing. After use, inspect the socket for signs of wear, deformation or cracking and replace if damage is found.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection and gloves when operating impact tools. Match the socket size precisely to the fastener and avoid using damaged sockets. For final torque-critical fastening, verify torque values with a calibrated torque wrench rather than relying solely on impact tools.
