Tape measure AWTools AW40132 — 19 mm blade, 5 m length, metal case
Tape measure AWTools AW40132 — 19 mm blade, 5 m length, metal case
AWTools AW40132 — 19 mm blade, 5 m length, metal case is a compact retractable tape measure intended for general measuring tasks in construction, DIY and home workshops. The tool combines a 19 mm wide steel blade with a 5 m measuring range and a metal housing that provides protection against impacts and everyday wear. The device is suitable for quick linear measurements, marking and checking dimensions on wood, drywall, metal and other common building materials.
The 19 mm blade offers a balance between flexibility and stability, allowing clear reading of measurement marks while remaining suitable for longer spans. The metal case increases durability compared with plastic housings and helps protect the mechanism from dirt and minor impacts. The retractable steel tape locks securely for one-handed measurement and rewinds smoothly to minimize wear on the tape edge. Compact size and a belt clip make it easy to carry on-site or in a workshop.
Pull the steel tape out from the metal case to the required length and engage the lock to hold the tape in place while marking or reading measurements. Align the tape hook with the starting edge, take the reading at the desired point, then release the lock to allow the tape to retract slowly back into the case. Avoid letting the tape snap back at full speed to reduce risk of damage to the blade and housing.
Store the tape measure in a dry place and clean the blade after use to remove dirt and grit that can shorten its life. Use controlled retraction and avoid bending the tape sharply to maintain measurement accuracy and prolong the durability of the metal blade and housing.
