Concrete Core Drill Bits AWTools Korona SDS+ 65–80 mm, set of 2 (AW40516)
Concrete Core Drill Bits AWTools Korona SDS+ 65–80 mm, set of 2 (AW40516)
Set of two AWTools Korona SDS+ core drill bits with diameters 65 mm and 80 mm, designed for drilling clean circular holes in concrete and masonry. These core bits are shaped for use with SDS+ rotary hammers and provide efficient material removal when creating openings for plumbing, electrical conduits, anchors and pipe passages. The set is intended for construction and renovation jobs where precise round holes are required.
The AWTools Korona core bits feature tungsten-carbide cutting edges and a reinforced body profile that maintain cutting performance and dimensional stability during repetitive drilling. The SDS+ shank enables quick, secure connection to compatible rotary hammers and reduces play during operation. The set covers two common hole diameters, reducing the need for additional purchases and allowing a single worker to handle different through-hole sizes on site.
Secure the appropriate core bit into an SDS+ rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer's instructions. Mark the hole centre, position the bit perpendicular to the surface, and start drilling at low speed to establish the pilot path, then apply steady pressure and use the hammer action for effective cutting. Periodically withdraw the core to remove debris and check progress. For through-holes, continue until the core passes through or until the required depth is reached, then extract the bit carefully.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask. For reinforced concrete, inspect for rebar and reduce feed pressure when hitting reinforcement; consider using a pilot drill or rebar cutter if needed. Ensure the rotary hammer is set to hammer-drill mode and matched to the core bit diameter for stable operation.
