Drill bit set AWTools AW41835 — 10 pieces, standard twist bits
AWTools AW41835 — 10 pieces standard twist drill bit set contains ten precision-cut HSS-G M2 high-speed steel bits with a black oxide finish, supplied in a convenient case. Each drill bit is ground with two cutting edges and a centering point featuring a 135° point angle, designed for straight-through drilling in a range of common materials. The set is intended for use with hand drills and drill drivers and covers everyday woodworking, metalworking and general DIY tasks where reliable, repeatable holes are required.
The drill bits are manufactured from HSS-G M2 high-speed steel and precision ground to ensure consistent cutting performance and long life. A black oxide coating increases surface wear resistance and reduces friction, helping to extend the service life of each bit. The two-cutting-edge geometry and 135° centering point reduce walking and improve accuracy, while the material choice lowers the risk of breakage during standard drilling operations. Supplied in a compact case, the set is easy to store and transport.
Select the correct bit size for the required hole diameter and secure it in the chuck of a hand drill or drill driver. Use appropriate drilling speeds and apply steady, even pressure; lower speeds are recommended for harder metals and higher speeds for softer materials such as plastics and aluminium. Ensure the workpiece is clamped or otherwise secured to prevent movement, and clear chips regularly to avoid overheating. After use, allow bits to cool before returning them to the case.
For best results, use cutting fluid or lubricants when drilling alloyed or unalloyed steel and cast iron to reduce heat and wear. When drilling non-ferrous metals and plastics, moderate speed and minimal feed pressure will produce cleaner holes. Inspect bits periodically for wear or damage and replace blunt or chipped bits to maintain drilling accuracy and safety.
