Drill bit pack AWTools AW41842 — 10 pieces, metal/wood drilling
AWTools AW41842 — 10 pieces, metal/wood drilling is a set of ten HSS-G M2 high-speed steel drill bits designed for general-purpose drilling in wood, metal and plastics. The bits are precision ground with two cutting edges and finished with black oxide for improved wear resistance. Each bit features a centering point with a 135° point angle to aid accurate starts and reduce walking when drilling with handheld or stationary drills. The set is supplied as a multi-pack in a compact case for storage and transport.
The drill bits are made from HSS-G M2 high-speed steel, which provides high wear resistance and reduces the risk of breakage under normal drilling conditions. Precision ground two-cutting-edge geometry and a 135° centering point improve drilling accuracy and chip evacuation. The black oxide finish increases surface durability and corrosion resistance. Supplied in a case, the pack keeps bits organized and accessible for construction, repair and DIY tasks.
Select a drill bit of the required diameter from the pack and secure it in the chuck of a handheld or stationary drill. Use appropriate cutting speeds and feed rates for the material being drilled: lower speeds for hard metals and higher speeds for wood and soft plastics. Apply steady axial pressure and allow the drill bit to clear chips regularly. Use cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling alloyed or unalloyed steels to improve tool life and reduce heat. After use, clean chips from the flutes and store bits in the supplied case.
For best performance and long tool life, use cooling or cutting fluid when drilling metals, avoid excessive axial force, and ensure the drill is running at a speed appropriate for the material. Replace worn bits to maintain hole quality and reduce the risk of breakage.
