Drill bit AWTools AW41900 — pack of 5, model AW41900
AWTools AW41900 — pack of 5 straight shank drill bits designed for general-purpose drilling in workshop, construction and DIY applications. Each bit is made from HSS-G M2 high-speed steel, precision ground and finished with a black oxide coating. The two-cutting-edge geometry and a 135° centering point enable controlled entry and reduced walking, while the set of five provides spares for repetitive tasks or replacements.
The HSS-G M2 material gives high wear resistance and good heat tolerance during continuous drilling. Precision grinding and a two-edge design provide consistent hole quality and reliable performance, and the black oxide surface helps reduce friction and corrosion. The 135° point angle improves centering on metal and plastic, and the straight shank fits standard chucks for quick bit changes.
Secure the chosen AW41900 drill bit in a compatible drill chuck and tighten firmly. Start drilling at low speed to allow the 135° centering point to locate the drilling position accurately, then increase speed appropriate to the material being drilled. Use light, steady feed pressure and withdraw periodically to clear chips when drilling deeper holes. For metal work, apply suitable cutting fluid to reduce heat and wear; for plastics, reduce speed and avoid excessive pressure to prevent melting.
Store the pack in its case to protect the cutting edges. Match drill speed and cutting fluid to the workpiece material: higher speeds with coolant for steels, lower speeds for non-ferrous metals and plastics. Replace bits when you notice bluntness or increased feed force to maintain hole quality and reduce breakage risk.
