AWTOOLS AW43030 masonry chisels are forged from CrV steel, hardened and tempered for durability and reliable performance. Designed for use with SDS-PLUS rotary hammer drills, this chisel is intended to cut narrow channels in concrete walls to accommodate wiring, pipes and other embedded services. With a weight of 369 g, the tool is compact and suitable for renovation and light demolition tasks where controlled, precision channeling is required.
The CrV steel construction with heat treatment provides wear resistance and edge retention during repeated impact work. Compatibility with SDS-PLUS systems ensures secure mounting and efficient transfer of hammer energy. The slim profile enables accurate cutting of narrow grooves while minimising unnecessary removal of material. The chisel’s balanced weight and durable tip geometry support consistent performance during renovation and installation work.
Mount the AWTOOLS AW43030 masonry chisel into an SDS-PLUS rotary hammer drill according to the drill manufacturer’s instructions. Position the chisel tip at the starting point on the concrete surface and operate the drill in chisel mode or appropriate impact setting. Advance the chisel with steady, controlled strokes to form a narrow channel; periodically withdraw the chisel to clear debris and check progress. For clean edges and accurate depth, work in short passes rather than attempting deep cuts in a single pass.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety goggles, hearing protection and dust mask. Use with SDS-PLUS compatible rotary hammers and select an impact setting suited to masonry work. Keep the chisel tip sharp and inspect for damage before use; replace the tool if excessive wear or cracks are detected. Do not use the chisel on reinforced steel without appropriate tooling.
