Power drill accessory AWTools AW43241 — weight 1 kg
AWTools AW43241 is a single-piece power drill accessory designed for use with SDS-MAX rotary hammers. The unit is manufactured from high-quality alloy steel with induction hardening and includes a tungsten carbide-tipped pilot drill and a mounting screw to ensure secure attachment and accurate centring. Weighing 1 kg, this compact accessory is suitable for drilling clean holes in concrete, brick and aerated block and is compatible with most TCT core drill bits on the market.
The alloy steel construction with induction hardening provides improved wear resistance and extended service life under heavy-duty use. The tungsten carbide-tipped pilot drill ensures precise positioning and reduces walking when starting a hole. Compatibility with SDS-MAX rotary hammers and widespread TCT core drill bits makes the accessory versatile for a variety of drilling setups, while the included mounting screw simplifies installation and replacement.
Securely fit the AWTools AW43241 accessory into the SDS-MAX chuck of a compatible rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer’s instructions. Mount a suitable TCT core drill bit onto the accessory and tighten the mounting screw to ensure the bit is fixed and centred. Position the pilot tip at the desired drilling point, start the rotary hammer at low speed to establish the hole, then increase to the recommended operating speed and pressure for the selected material. Regularly clear debris from the hole and monitor cutting progress to maintain drilling quality.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection and gloves) and follow the rotary hammer and bit manufacturers’ guidelines. For best results in reinforced concrete, use intermittent drilling and adequate cooling or dust extraction. Inspect the accessory and pilot tip before each use and replace worn components to maintain accurate drilling and safe operation.
